Into The Great Unknown!

My dad and his ‘Shuai’ pose! 😂

This is probably our last photo together for the next year at least as I am about to embark on 3 years of studies in New Zealand.

Yet, like an old and ‘lagging’ internet connection, I’m still trying to catch up and come to terms with all that has happened to me over the past 3 months!

From seeing a new Naturopath and Medical Herbalist who has been instrumental in my physical and spiritual healing (he’s also now my Godfather!) …

… to making so much progress in my autoimmune recovery that I’m completely off all my meds! (something which the specialists were very skeptical and not at all comfortable about yet my most recent blood test turned out “Perfect!” in his own words)

In fact, after close to 3 years, I’ve finally felt good enough to jog again!

… to working at my Godpa’s extremely healthy and herb-based vegetarian restaurant in Melaka (Seeds Garden) at a whim because they were short-handed twice!

(like the painkillers, it was a leap of faith as previously, even standing for 5 mins would be unbearable! And I worked as a service staff)

I’ve grown so much, learnt so much, made soooo many new friends (most of whom I believe will be lifelong friends!) and most unexpectedly (but definitely most importantly) grown so much closer to God than I could ever imagine.

There is so much more I would like to share and maybe someday, I will find time to blog about these events.

But for now, I feel like I’m stepping forward into the great unknown.

Like I’m about to Bungee jump off a cliff, putting all my faith and trust into that one piece of rope over my waist (somewhat analogical to putting my life in the loving hands of God).

Truly, of all the lessons I’ve recently learnt, the one that stands out most is that “everything happens for a reason”.

We may not know why we’re suffering now but looking back we’ll go “ohhhhh…” 😲

So these days I just take whatever comes.

Live day by day.

Surrender my life,

my will,

my dreams,

my desires,

surrender my all to whatever he has in store for me.

All I pray for is guidance.

In addition, I just can’t stop giving thanks for the countless blessings I’ve received and continue to receive each day!!
